Rob Regish on Any suggestion for DOMS and sleep supps please? (Leans gains would be nice too)

Yeah I was happy. I did keep up my training whilst away but the tiredness/jetlag normally knocks me back a little but I breezed through, checked my HRM afterwards and it was as if I had a very light session.

Today was a tougher session and despite being a day short of recovery from my last session I got by. Feeling it a little now but I expect to be right tomorrow after some sleep (which is a complete mess now with the time difference!).

The MADCOW programme calls for me to PB every week from here so fingers crossed the MPS keeps doing it's stuff.

Do take care to insert an extra rest day, if your body is asking for it. Synthagen makes you feel like training every day, but sooner or later, that catches up with you. I've re-introduced an objective method of determining just when to back off, and it's FREE. Measuring your waking morning heart rate before getting out of bed. No guessing, as you can't fudge your heart rate... :)  It was used by the former Soviet teams, and found to be the most reliable indicator athletes were slipping into over-training (outside of blood work).
