^ Thank you Reggie. And thank you to Grambo and Purus for the opportunity to try Amino.D.
Anyway, I now have a tub of Strawberry Limeade, which i've tried and which I can give my initial feedback on. Bear in mind this is an EAA product so you're limited to usability and taste. Apart from the tub maybe, which looks cool!
OK, if you know EAA (or BCAA) you'll know they settle and that they need to be shaken well before use. You'll probably also know, then, that the fine powder can often race cloud-like out of the tub at you when you open it. Amino.D doesn't, not even a little bit. There's a temporary stall here though as the tub (or the inner seal) has an odd smell about it. It isn't the powder, that actually has a mild candy scent, which is unusual given the more usual cross between battery acid and compost.
So, Purus recommend 8oz of water per scoop, and I went with that in a shaker cup. However, just before throwing in the wire ball I thought i'd try a spoon to mix it. Very few EAA (or BCAA) mix thoroughly with a spoon. Amino.D did. Add the ball and lid and a shake or two would do the same trick. Go too far, however, and there is some foaming (that lasts). Some people have a problem with this, I don't.
And the flavour? Well let me first say i've tried dozens of amino acid products. From necking raw powder through to some that really are quite good given the difficult base material and onto the truly sublime Xtend Lemon Lime Sour. So I can quite genuinely say that Purus Amino.D Strawberry Limeade is without a doubt the best tasting amino acid product i've ever tried. Simple as that.
Grambo, please go back to Purus HQ and tell them to get busy on the larger size. And I now know there's been serious money spent to deliver a product of this quality, but it still needs to come to us the consumer a helluva lot cheaper to be viable.
Appreciate taking the time to review and give our product a try! Glad you enjoyed it!
I'll take your words back to HQ without a doubt.
