Hi AllI had been reading all the info and reviews on here and got my 1st bottle today . My question is can i still take Alpha T2 with this ?
Thanks
Steve
Yes, in fact you would be wise to do so. Here's why...
Alpha T2 is a fine product. In fact, I highlight it in the December issue of theblueprintbulletin..
Now, with respect to Alpha T2 the issue is that it contains a potent thyroid hormone - that being 3,3-diiodo-l-thyronine. This is both good and bad. Good insofar as T2 is much more forgiving than Synthroid (synthetic T4) or even T3 for that matter*. It has some valid research showing it's ability to boost metabolic rate, resulting in lower body fat levels. Bad insofar as even a slight excess of any thyroid hormone can leave you with less bodyfat, but at risk for muscle loss as well.
It's the bane of thyroid hormone supplementation, you walk a fine line. Synthagen ensures you don't lose muscle, even by it's lonesome in a severe caloric deficit.
Hopefully, you can see why I'm recommending concurrent administration...
* When researchers administered 100 ug/Kg of T3 and 800-1600 ug/Kg of T2 the following occurred: T3 rapidly decreased serum TSH levels within minimal levels after 24 hours. Seventy-two hours after application, TSH levels were still significantly lower than control levels. As far as the T2, TSH levels were transiently reduced and reached their lowest point at 24 hours and increased afterwards. Basal levels were reached 72 hours after an application. Thus, it's less suppressive...
